Mission Rodeo is organized for religious purposes, i.e. conducting missionary activities, as that phrase is defined in and construed under Internal Revenue Code : 501(c)(3), Tex. Rev. Civ. Stat. Ann. art. 1396-2.01.A and any successor statute thereto. The Corporation's purposes may be more fully stated in its Bylaws and Constitution, if any. The Corporation may exercise any powers set forth at common law or pursuant to Tex. Rev. Civ. Stat. Ann. art. 1396-2.02 in furtherance of its purposes, unless doing so the Corporation would violate any restrictions palced on it by state or federal common law, statute, administrative regulation, or otherwise, including without limitation Internal Revenue Code: 501(c)(3). MISSION: RODEO is a non-profit corporation that serves as an evangelical outreach ministry for rodeo cowboys, cowgirls, and their families, as well as other people involved in equine and western culture. The activities listed below are intended to be an example of the ministry activities that this organization will be involved in. However, this list is not all-inclusive, and other opportunities not listed here will be considered as God opens doors and as organizations or churches contact us to come to their respective events to share.
The primary activity of this organization will be to travel to area rodeos, playdays, and horse events in order to hold “Cowboy Church” services prior to the start of the events.
MISSION: Rodeo volunteers will pass out Christian witness materials such as bibles, tracts, pamphlets, and bumper stickers while sharing the gospel in a one-on-one, face-to-face setting.
MISSION: Rodeo will participate in intercessory prayer with the cowboys and cowgirls behind the chutes, in the arena, or where ever a need or a request arises while at the various events.
MISSION: Rodeo will have a voluntary sign up sheet for prayer requests and for bi-monthly news letters and e-mail bible studies to be sent out.
As God opens doors, this ministry will also accept speaking engagements at churches, conferences, and other events around the state or wherever God calls in order to share the gospel and/or to promote the ministry of MISSION: Rodeo.
MISSION: Rodeo will accept charitable donations to be used for purchasing and restocking witnessing materials such as bibles, tracts, pamphlets, stickers, and other ministry expenses incurred by the outreach activities.
